Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology officially announced the list of 45 national advanced manufacturing clusters, and Ganzhou rare earth new materials and application clusters were selected.
It is reported that the output value of the leading industries of 45 national clusters will reach 19 trillion yuan in 2021, 18 national manufacturing innovation centers will be built, accounting for 70% of the total number of national innovation centers, more than 1700 national technology innovation carriers, more than 170 national single champion enterprises, and more than 2200 national specialized new "little giant" enterprises will be cultivated and created, becoming an important carrier to promote the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry.
Ganzhou produces 70% of the world's medium and heavy rare earths every year. In recent years, Sichuan has insisted on leading the industrial upgrading with innovation, promoting the construction of major platforms such as the National Rare Earth New Materials Technology Innovation Center with high standards, cultivating and strengthening distinctive industries, and building a rare earth new materials industry cluster with global influence. In December 2021, China Rare Earth Group was officially established in Ganzhou. In September this year, the signing ceremony of strategic cooperation between China Rare Earth Group and Jiangxi Copper Corporation and the unveiling ceremony of China Rare Earth Group Resource Technology Co., Ltd. were held. This is of great significance for promoting the professional integration of rare earth industry, and also brings great opportunities for Ganzhou to expand and strengthen the rare earth industry cluster.
In the next step, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will closely focus on the cluster cultivation goals and tasks, accelerate the construction of a provincial - national - world-class cluster cultivation and development system, improve the working mechanism of central local linkage and sectoral coordination, improve the cluster policy support system of industry, innovation, finance, regional and public services, and promote cluster exchanges and cooperation.
